Why do people talk about things they are uneducated about?

I'm completely serious. Do you guys have any idea? (There's a huge rant coming up).

But first, I wanted to say that my birthday's on Thursday, but I have finals all this week so I don't think I'll be on that day. So you guys can, you know, wish me a happy birthday, or not? I don't know.

Anyways. I don't think any of you are really familiar with Amanda Palmer, but she's one of my biggest inspirations (I sort of have a lot of them). She's from the punk cabaret duo the Dresden Dolls, and has a multitude of solo work as well. Some background info: Mrs. Palmer has written songs on pretty touchy subjects, and was recently involved in a "scandal" on kickstarter (which was just more misinformed people). Recently on her blog she's posted a series of three (and counting) blogs on bullying and internet hatred, in which she hopes to help and reach out to people being bullied. Not even a month after these blogs are being posted, she's being harrassed from everywhere online; being called transphobic, body shameful, etc. etc. People saying we need to "shut her down"?

It just pisses me off so much. She has disproved all these allegations on numerous occasions. WHY are people still bothering with any of this?

For those STILL complaining about kickstarter: Yes, she made 1.5 million, and guess what she did with that money? She used it to make her brilliant new album. Stop talking about her husband, that isn't even a valid argument. Why would think she wants to BEG off her husband and use HIS money? Why would she need to do that?!?! She wanted to give her fans an opportunity to play with her, and hey, she's made multiple responses to why she wanted volunteers to open up for her. Even a minimal amount of digging will tell you that.

Jesus Christ I don't even know what other stupid fucking uneducated arguments you're all making but just SHUT UP. I don't know why it's such a big deal to you if Amanda Palmer has fans or not or why you can't find something better to do with your life, but PLEASE find something.
