You haven't used your voice or laid eyes on another human in three years. And then one day, the door of your cell opens and a boy walks in. A very, very beautiful boy. He couldn't be older than nineteen, but he tells you that he runs the government, and would love to have you work for him. You would live in comfort, with plenty of food and warmth. You would be treated like a princess. There are two drawbacks. You would use your power to interrogate rebels. And... It doesn't matter what your touch does to people... You have to be his bride. But you're so desperate to get out of that awful place that you agree.

Guys: You're the leader of the new government, and you've been searching for a very special girl. She can do things to people by touching them, and you're fascinated. Finally, you find her in a disgusting hole, dark and cold. She doesn't speak, and she always flinches when someone gets within five feet of her. She's such a beautifully wretched thing. You don't know what comes over you, but it just slips from your mouth. If she wants to live like a princess, she has to marry you. You're amazed when she nods her head, and you bring her to your home right away. But... what will happen when she touches you?
