How about she sucks the life out of people and if she doesn't let go they die? That's what happened in the book this came from. But of course the guy is the only one who can touch her.

Skylar let out a wistful sigh, her eyes locked on the lone window set high, running parallel with the ceiling. She could see the faintest sliver of the sky, and not an ounce more. They wouldn't want to get me any hope of escape. Would be such a cruel, cruel thing... She mused, making herself chuckle. Because they know the first thing about not being cruel. She had the feeling that something was off. Something was going to happen today; she knew it. Excitement leaked from her pores, though she grew wary as the day kept going on, and once again the door remained closed. She found herself lapsing back into her world of day-dreams, filling her head with scenarios that were sure to never happen in an attempt to block out her ragging depression. She was so deep in her mind, that when the door opened and snapped her back to reality, she let out a yelp and tried to sit up too fast, in effect falling off of her cot and onto the floor in a tangle of limbs and sheets.

Sam slowly stepped inside the cell. He had been searching for this girl since he was fifteen, and his father had got him started. She was such a weapon. Able to destroy the most powerful men with a single touch. He planned on using her in battles and to torture captives. She wouldn't enjoy it, but he would make sure she came with him. He'd just kill her otherwise. When he stepped in, he stopped dead and stared at her. This girl was absolutely gorgeous. She was filthy and skinny as a twig, but she was beautiful and wretched and at that moment he wanted to do nothing but bring her home and take care of her. He realized he was staring and cleared his throat, giving a nervous chuckle as she fell off her cot. "Hello, Miss Skylar."

Skylar straightened herself as quickly as she could manage, never taking her eyes off of the boy. "Hello." She replied, her voice scratchy from not being used in so long. She managed to stand up without falling over again and took him in. She hadn't seen another human since she had been put in the room. She watched him curiously, idly wondering why he wasn't cowering in fear, or at least wearing some sort of protective gear. He didn't even have a weapon. Her over-active imagination had always pictured the first person she'd see to be some creepy middle-aged man wearing something equivalent to a space suit, decked out with an artillery of ways to keep her at a distance.

Sam took a few steps closer and held his hands out to her. He was wearing thin leather gloves. "You can touch me, if you'd like. It's safe as long as you don't touch my skin." Then he grabbed her hands and made her sit on the floor with him very suddenly. "I want to take you away from this place forever," he said softly.

Skylar gave him a speculative look, glancing down to her hands in his, then back up to his face. "You can't do that unless you have a lot of power. People with power don't do things like release dangerous prisoners unless they have a good reason. What do you want from me?" She allowed herself to bask in the wonderfulness of touch for several more seconds before she pulled her hands back, "You shouldn't touch me." She warned him half-heartedly.

Sam bit his lip and gave a sigh. "You got me. I'm the leader of this sector of government in America. And we need you should the citizens rebel. You would be recruited into some battles, but mostly you would stay in my home and wait for rebels to be captured. Your touch would be useful to us if we needed information. And you'd never have to live like this again. You would have your own bed and bathroom, and as much food as you could eat, and we've made you a special outfit and gloves to wear so you can interact with the people in my compound."

Skylar's eyes lit up at the thought of leaving this cramped, lonely room she had spent the past few years in. She fought back the excitement, however, not wanting him to think that she was desperate. "I've got clothes, food, and a room here. You just want me to be some glorified weapon in a harmless looking package." She frowned; as much as she would give to leave, she wasn't sure that she would kill for it.

Sam frowned. "How long have you been waiting to breathe in fresh air? How long have you been fantasizing about someone taking you away to live comfortably?" He reached out and, despite her warning, framed her face in his gloved hands. "Skylar, come with me. Or else you'll jut rot in here the rest of your life. I'm offering you something most people in this world can't even dream of. I'm... I'm offering you something you've only ever dreamed of. Companionship. Friendship. Come with me," he repeated.

Skylar opened and closed her mouth several times, knowing her answer already. "I..." She started, her eyes focusing on a particular place on his shirt, not wanting to meet his eyes. She sighed, closing her eyes. Instantly, all of her fantasies came to mind, reminding her once again of how badly she had wanted to leave. She found herself nodding her head, "Yes... Yes, I'll go with you." She said softly, finally lifting her chin and gaze to look him in the eye. Some vicious part of her mind told her that this was all too good to be true. He was just going to get up and leave without her.

Sam smiled really big and tossed some hair out of his eyes. "Wonderful. Amazing." He motioned behind him and his men left to prepare some things. He wanted to lean in and kiss her at that moment. Wait. Stop that train of thought before it crashes and tell her how relieved you are, h instructed himself. So he opened his mouth, and this is what he spit out: "You have to marry me, or you stay here." Nice.

Skylar's eyebrows slid up, too surprised to mask it over with her usual indifference. "What?" She stammered out, "You want me to... Are you insane?" She managed to bring her eyebrows back down into the earth's atmosphere, her eyes still wide. "I... Fine. Any other last minute changes you want to make?" She asked him snarkily.
