Sam slowly stepped inside the cell. He had been searching for this girl since he was fifteen, and his father had got him started. She was such a weapon. Able to destroy the most powerful men with a single touch. He planned on using her in battles and to torture captives. She wouldn't enjoy it, but he would make sure she came with him. He'd just kill her otherwise. When he stepped in, he stopped dead and stared at her. This girl was absolutely gorgeous. She was filthy and skinny as a twig, but she was beautiful and wretched and at that moment he wanted to do nothing but bring her home and take care of her. He realized he was staring and cleared his throat, giving a nervous chuckle. "Hello, Miss Kaylee."

[Abby]

Kaylee shock from her sitting-nap and stiffened at the sound of her cell door opening. It was a sound she had not heard in three long years. Footsteps from behind her echoed off the musty walls, giving away where the young man stood in her cell. She had become very aware of sounds and echo location while living for years in silence. He stood in perfect position, just out of her reach from her grasp. Exactly six point seven three meters away, just the length of her tiny body and ankle chain combined. Kaylee didn't speak, knowing her underused voice would most surely betray her. Instead she rolled over to face the boy and meet his eyes. Crystal blue eyes.

[Fox]

//Also: The girl's powers only work on contact with skin. So, if someone wears gloves and clothes that cover their skin, nothing will happen if they touch Kaylee.

Sam watched Kaylee, this poisonous flower of a girl, and slowly sat on the floor in front of her. She was thin as a twig, and probably hadn't interacted with a human in years. He wondered what to do next. He opened his mouth, shut it, then took a deep breath. "Kaylee, my name is Sam. I apologize if I startled you." His voice was soft and musical, with a slight Irish lilt to it. "I'm so sorry you've been forced to live this way for so long, and I'm here to end that. You'll never be treated so cruelly again. You'll have a warm bed, as much food as you can eat, and there are even a few others with similar problems. They can teach you to control this power that you have. Would you like to come with me?"

Kaylee pulled her knees to his chest and rested her chin on her knees. He big eyes ink up at him, letting every word wash over her and then sink in without uttering any of her very own. His name was Sam; he looked like a Sam. She slowly reached up with one scrawny arm, shaking at the effort it took to do so, and gripped a small rock that jutted out of the wall. Using that leverage she slowly rose to her bare feet, using the rough rock wall as support. She nodded at his proposal, while not meeting his eyes. It was too much of a lie to look him in the eyes agree to control her powers. It could never be done. Skin on skin contact was inevitable eventually.

Sam smiled and stood up. He stepped closer, within arms length of Kaylee, and reached out a hand. It was covered in a thin leather glove that went up his wrist a ways. The dark material disappeared under his long-sleeved shirt. The only skin he didn't cover was his neck and face. "Take my hand. It's okay, you won't hurt me or anything. You look like you could use some help walking. Can you talk? Or would you rather not right now?" His face was filled with patient concern.

Kaylee flexed the fingers in her right hand slowly and then in a small burst of energy her hand flashed out and grabbed his. Her face was turned away, her eyes closed tight. She knew what she would see if she turned. The blank state of a man who couldn't remember his name or where he grew up, what his birthday was or if he had ever had a favorite color. Those big innocent puppy eyes had been cute at first. She could create a person without memories in a single touch, a resent button that only she controlled. And now this man had forgotten who she was. No more warm bed, or food. No more empty promises of control. She had never actually taken away memories through clothing before, but it must have worked that way too.

[Fox]

Sam smiled when she readily took his hand and took her other hand in his. "Good! That's really good," he said excitedly, mistaking her sudden energy for enthusiasm to leave this place. And he was unharmed. He was still himself, talking in his sweet Irish accent and with an expression of gentle encouragement directed at the girl in front of him. He noted randomly that her hands were small, delicate. I want to hold her hand... he thought distantly. He shook the thought away and pulled a key from his pocket, then unchained her from the wall. He started to lead her out of the cell. "Come on, Kaylee. We're going outside."

[Abby]

Kaylee blinked in astonishment and met his eyes. Recollection. He still knew who he was and why he was here and now he was taking her away. She squealed as he started to walk and she was pulled after him in an ungraceful stumble. Her foot caught on her other heel and she tumbled forward, grabbing his coat for stability. No walking. Walking was a very bad idea.

[Fox]

Sam closed his mouth and actually gave a light laugh. "I can see walking is out of the question. Okay, I'm going to turn around and crouch down. Climb on my back and wrap your arms around me, but be careful not to touch my face or neck okay?" He turned and got on one knee in front of her. "It's okay," he said softly.

[Abby]

Kaylee wrapped her arms around his shoulders and then did the same to her legs around his waist. It was awkward, to say the least. She nuzzled her head on his shoulder, careful to to brush against his neck in any way.

[Fox]

Sam shivered slightly as this fragile, tiny girl nuzzled into him. He turned his head and gave the top of Kaylee's head a light, sweet kiss. "Let's go home, pip." He held onto Kaylee and the door opened for him as he neared it. A guard followed them closely as Sam made his way to the front doors of the asylum. "Here we are, pip. Fresh air. Sunlight. Freedom," he said in a hushed voice. The guard opened the door and they were literally blasted with a wave of fresh air. Sam had spent no more than a half hour in that place and he could almost see the fresh air. He could only imagine how amazing it was Kaylee.

Kaylee stared at Sam's lips in awe. He had kissed her, lips to skin contact and he still knew where he was. She was just about to speak when the blinding light from the open door forced her to bury her face in his chest. The sun beat down on her pale skin while her body welcomed her much needed vitamin D. Her lips struggled to make words against his coat sleeve. "You," she croaked. "You touched me, with your lips." He voice was just above a gravelly whisper in his ear.
